- Your recommendation is based on your own evaluation, not a one-size program.
- You'll have a follow-up evaluation before your return-to-duty test.
- Your employer decides when you go back to safety-sensitive work.
- The same process applies across all six DOT agencies.

How do I select Jenny in the Clearinghouse?
Talk with Jenny first. Then log in, click "designate your substance abuse professional," type Jenny Kirwin in "Who is your SAP?" and click Send Request.
Do I need a SAP?
Yes, after a positive DOT test, an alcohol result of 0.04+, or a refusal. You must finish the SAP process before any safety-sensitive work.
Can I choose my own SAP?
Yes. Choose carefully: once a SAP accepts you in the Clearinghouse, you can't switch.
Is an online evaluation legit?
Yes. DOT allows SAP evaluations by live video. Phone-only is not allowed.
How long does it take?
No honest SAP can say before your evaluation. It depends on what's recommended and how fast you complete it.
How much does it cost?
Starting at $250 for your initial evaluation. Jenny explains your full cost on a free call first.
Can I do this without a job?
Yes. Only the final return-to-duty test needs an employer to order it.
Will I get my job back?
That's your employer's decision. Finishing the process makes you eligible, not guaranteed.
What happens to my CDL?
It's downgraded while you're "prohibited" and restored after your return-to-duty test is reported.
What is follow-up testing?
At least 6 unannounced tests in your first 12 months back. It can last up to 5 years.
Does a medical card, CBD or Delta-8 count?
Unfortunately, yes. DOT doesn't accept any of them as an explanation.
Who sees my information?
Only your employer's designated representative. The Clearinghouse gets two dates, nothing more.
How do I spot a fake SAP?
No video evaluation, promised timelines, "no test required," or "DOT-certified" claims. DOT doesn't certify SAPs.
